Through the years there must have been workshops all over Russia where anything was manufactured which was needed: also diving equipment. Usually these workshops did not equip their products with any company badge or name tag so it is nearly impossible to identify such a helmet.

Unidentified Russian Diving Helmets

An early 12-bolt helmet from an unknown manufacturer. This helmet has a low positioned telephone connection at the back of the helmet which was introduced during the late 1930's. The breastplate is made in a unique way: the vertical copper ‘tunnel’ holding the interrupted neck-ring thread has been welded onto the bent copper plate that holds the bolts and brails.
